Children's Grief Awareness DaySM was November 19
On Thursday, November 19, 2009, Caring Team schools across the state joined together to show their support for grieving children by participating in Children's Grief Awareness Day.
Children and adults helped grieving children to feel less alone by participating in activities on that day, especially by wearing blue to show hundredes of schools and communities that they supported grieving children.
The Highmark Caring Place holds Children’s Grief Awareness Day every year in November, on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. In 2010, Children’s Grief Awareness Day will be held on November 18.
